Why go on a kitesurf holiday?

Kitesurfing holidays

Kitesurfing is one of the fastest growing water sports ever. This is because of its high visual impact and also because it beneficiated from the decline of windsurf and the fact that the factories used in the windsurf industry could easily be converted to manufacture kite surfing equipment.

Therefore, there is a huge demand for kite surfing holidays. One thing that is clear nowadays is that you HAVE to take a minimum amount of lessons to begin kite surfing, hence this demand for kite surfing holidays.

Choosing Your Windsurf Holiday Destination

There are more and more people that wish to stay active during their holidays instead of laying next to a hotel pool on an all inclusive package.

Travelling abroad is a great way to turn your time out into a true windsurfing holiday. The destinations will vary accordingly to the weather patterns during the year.

El Gouna review

One of our team has just returned from a diving and kite-surfing trip to El Gouna with his partner and she's kindly written a diary of their adventures to give all our prospective visitors some idea as to what's in store for them at the resort - Many thanks Emma!

Day 1 – Arrival

Marsa Alam, the South Adventure

Marsa Alam
lays in the south egyptian Red Sea and has recently become a haven for avid divers. Before the airport was built, only hardcore divers would endure the long coach trip south from Hurgadha.

The Egyptian goverment soon realised the mistakes of over develloped resort such as Sharm or Hurghada and understood the importance of protecting the marine environment in order to keep attracting scuba tourism in a region where there is little else to do.

Dahab

If you have been to Sharm el Sheikh and found the place to be too crowded and that liveaboards are not for you, then you might want to consider your next scuba diving holidays in Dahab.

Dahab is set in the middle of the Gulf of Aqaba, in the North Red Sea.
Situated in a shallow bay, most of the dive sites are accesible by Jeep. The fringing reefs around Dahad make boat diving unnecesary as every dives are easily accesible from shore, making this destination a "liveaboard" on land!

Here is a few of the dive sites around the area:

The Blue Hole

Kitesurfing for Beginners

Kitesurfing is one of the most exhilarating sports you could ever try. The thrill of the acceleration, the lift generated which enables you to jump from still water, and the speed with which you can change direction is simply amazing!
